Semenggoh Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, Borneo

The 1613-acre  Semenggoh Nature Reserve accepts orangutans who have been either orphaned, injured, or rescued from captivity and reintroduces them back into the wild.

The primary goal of the centre is not to attract tourists, but to actually rehabilitate animals and get them back into the wild.

It was amazing to see these creatures up close. They are so human like, with amazing long arms and beautiful faces.
